construction site applications The Challenger Stores provides a complimentary range of quality storage units which can be used independently or in conjunction with Challenger Anti Vandal Units. The units are designed in a range of standard sizes, but can be readily adapted to meet the precise requirements of the user. Enquiries are invited for your volume requirements. General Construction Floor: Constructed from 100mm x 50mm x 6mm parallel flanged perimeter beam supporting 76mm x 38mm x 3mm rolled steel channel section joists at 400mm centres. The floor is formed by 3mm chequer plate steel sheets welded to form a continuous panel. Alternatively, floors can be either in 18mm plywood, or weld mesh. Double stacking is facilitated by location pins in each corner of the unit leaving a minimal gap of 20mm. Alternatively, conventional jack legs can be fitted. Challenger Stores can be double stacked with Challenger Anti Vandal Accommodation units. Walls: The external walls are formed by 500mm x 40mm x 1.6mm tray panels welded to form a rigid external skin supported by 250mm x 250mm x 4mm steel corner posts. The external skin is finished in one coat Croda Uniprime, or Masons C900 container paint. The internal steelwork is finished in zinc phosphate primer. Roof: The roof structure is formed by a 100mm x 50mm x 6mm parallel flanged steel perimeter beam supporting 75mm x 50mm x 3mm cold formed channel roof joists decked with a 2mm sheet steel roof treated with one coat of zinc phosphate primer and a two coat epoxy resin finish. Doors: The external doors can be supplied as either one single door or double door appropriate to the width of the unit. In both cases the door structure is formed from 1.6mm folded steel sheets with heavy duty hinges and a 5-lever lock and latch mechanism. Doors can be painted in a colour to the client's choice. Electrical Installation: All electrical installations, where applicable, are in accordance with IEE regulations 16th Edition. |
